Many people want to grow up with good relationships—with family, with friends and most of all with God. That’s what we are about at Cross-eyed. The cross is the symbol of Christianity and it also shows how much God loves us. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:10). At Cross-eyed we are about helping youth know the God who loves us to bits, and to live his good way.
On a typical night we have a great activity like frisbee golf, news paper hockey and board games. Then we spend some time learning about Jesus from the Bible over some yummy supper. Pretty simple!
Our Leaders are Gavin Rosser and Glenda Brander. Gavin is the pastor of Lugarno Anglican church. Glenda grew up in Peakhurst, has worked in the banking industry before retraining as a teacher. She teaches at William Carey Christian School. Our leaders have current Safe Ministry Training accreditation, and Working With Children Checks and are totally committed to the safety of the youth in their care. Parents are always very welcome to drop in or stay for an evening.
